Is it bad getting payed for your work?

Yesterday, I joined SocialSpark, thinking of it as a method to make money for what I write. Writing is my job, my work, my passion, you know...

On the other hand, when I want to enroll in some program, or a certain opportunity, — including, let's say, an online course — I do my homework. This is due to my 9 years on the internet. Usually, I check for cross-references. If you got a little more experience in online research, you can find lots of useful information. So, I started digging for some other sources of information on SocialSpark. This is already an old habit of mine. Well, it happens that I stumbled upon a blog post (I will intentionally skip details!) stating that this type of blog posts, — payed reviews — are crap.

Is it so? What do you think?

Let me put it another way:

— I work writing and researching for information on internet. That means that I make use of lots of resources: My English knowledge — my primary language is Romanian —, my Time, I pay bills for the broadband internet connection, the ccomputer is mine, I payed for my home office's furniture, I pay for domestic utilities such as water, electricity, garbage picking, streets cleaning, I need to eat, to sleep somewhere...

— Lots of people go to a job; I wonder... Are they ashamed that they get payed for what they do? I mean: Is it a shame to get payed for your work?

Obviously, there is some ethical philosophy involved here. But even if I write a review and I get payed for it, which comes first, is what I really belive. Actually, IF I find out that I was deceived or mislead by a professional black marketing strategy, who can stop me to write another review, to reveal what is really “behind the closed doors”? Afterall, that is why blogging is: Write information, pass it to anyone that is interested, exchange experience and thus, develop ourselves.

With those being said, I already pointed out what I am going to do: I will go on writing my reviews, be them payed or just like this one, for the social reason of contributing to community development of a healthy, sane, online environnement.

As you already know, this site deals with making money without spending money. Obviously, since I am a writer, my focus is on the opportunities connected with making money using the writing skills. As a good habit, each online freelancer should do at least 30 minutes of market research, dayly. And I stick to this rule.

Today, I found SocialSpark, which looked nice and appealing. So I read some info. I liked what I read, I also saw some opportunities I could review so, I considered my research satisfactory enough to decide upon subscribing. The subscription process was flawless. I was required to complete a site admin capabilities check, meaning to insert code into a blogpost. I find this a professional means to certify and I was granted and an extremely fast one. That was a relief. Instead of the harrasement on some other sites I subscribed during the years.

One thing that I need to know and everybody who joins an online service needs, is the As you already know, this site deals with making money without spending money. One thing that I need to know and everybody who joins an online service needs, is the Code of Ethics which, from my point of view, is very important! I need to know the rules in order to be able to play, any game. The code was handy placed so I enjoyed that too.

A feature that might look common but pleased me a lot during the subscription process, were the online forms. They are designed with huge input fields. That was lovely for me, because after 15 years of computer work and some 11 in front of a CRT, I need to wear glasses. So, small edit fields make things very difficult for me. Having huge web form-controls, was a joy and made the subscription a very pleasant experience.

Since I enjoyed this opportunity from the beginning, I am already sure I will write again and feed you with news on the SocialSpark experience!

Since someone commented on a previous article on this blog “where is the other info?”, well, here I am with new info.

Obviously, as a making money opportunity, it has its specific. That site requires you minimum, decent writing skills. So it will apply to your needs only if you really like writing.

Interesting opportunity

Lots of people belive that making “money without money” is simply crap. This blog wants to prove the opposite. But how am I to prove such a thing? Just by using the already boring screen-captures from PayPal? Well, I have a better idea. I will show you some sites. The site in the link below, is one site that requires you only to include a link in one of your posts, to pay you. Pretty simple, huh?

OK, I assume you clicked, thrown a glance and then came back here. So, what do you think? I belive it is an oportunity that will worth at least trying.

Here are my arguments:

— I have more than one blog;

— Subscription is FREE. That means that it respects the rule of this blog. Payments according to “suggerstion tool”, are a little low per article for a newbie, but, hey! Are you going to stay newbie for life?

— There are more opportunities you may combine, besides showing a link in your post. Just think carefully and if you can write at least a 200 words post, well, you're in the game!

Sounds fair? I bet it does!

Now, let's do the maths: Newbie payment = $0.005 / word. That is $1 per 200 words post. Let's say that is all you can do. Still, you are a winner!

Who am I writing for in this blog I

In the previous article, I said I will go a little deeper on that issue:

Who is supposed to benefit from this blog?

I also stated that literally everyone. Now, let's do the briefing!

There are three major categories of interest that I may address to:

1. The deep-burried in debts people.

2. Beginner business owners.

3. Experienced business owners.

Now, let's get deeper!

1. The deep-burried in debts people. They are desperate and they are seeking long-term solutions, BUT, solutions that — if possible — imply zero-costs. This is because they already have lots of debts and they need to get out of this mortal spiral of moving from a debt to the next one. They only have what they know AND their TIME. This is their fortune: Skills and TIME.

Is it enough for a business start? For a classical offline business, that means almost nothing. But for an online business, that will be the basic set of assets! The rest, is online business knowledge. They are sure lacking this knowledge, BUT! Here is the good news:

GUYS! You have a fortune! YOUR TIME! Instead of wasting your Time thinking of how you will die deep burried in debts, just give yourself a chance and think of what you can learn in the same Time you poison your body with negative thoughts!

Get very busy learning about online business, instead of poisoning your mind and thus your body, with all kind of negative thoughts such as “How am I supposed to pay this and that?” You will be able, belive me! Have faith in yourself! Self confidence is the resource you need most now. Am I insane? Well, think what you want but, just give me a chance to prove it to you! Read this article. Maybe you will give a second thought to your online business adventure! Later in this blog, you will find HOW to start.

Money Without Money?

Sounds weird?

I'd rather say it sounds challenging!

You know, in my online activity on the romanian market, I got over and over the same question: “How to start a business of my own?”

This is rather a vague question and literally, there are hundreds of answers that can be given. But the problem is somewhere else:

What are you really ready to invest in your business?

Why is that question so important?

Because almost everybody thinks a business start in terms of money. Well, my paradigm is:

Think the world in terms of RESOURCES.

Under this new perspective, you might see the world a slight differently.

You see? Money is just an idea. That is why most people lose so much money for a business start. They belive that value can be simply bought and resold at a higher price. That is deadly thinking!

Are you sure you are able to define extremly accurate what value means?

If you think you do, then you already failed your business. And you know why? There are literally 6.5 billion definitions for Value, Hapiness, Wealth, Fortune, and so. Each and everyone of us has his own definition. Do you think you know them all? They might be close to one each other, but surely, they are different. “Identical” is something, and “ close to” is something very different!

So, since most people that want to get involved in online business are in a bad or even disastrous financial situation, I guess that this approach, “Make Money Without Money”, is the best approach for literally everybody.

Why for everybody?

Well, I'll outline it in a few words and go a little deeper in the next blog.

Think a little on the following:

1. You are buried in debts. Obviously, you are desperately seeking a solution. So, what would be this solution? A new loan to start a business? Or a zero expenses business start?

2. You are in business, but beginner. Ooooohhhh! I was in that, back in 1993! Painful! Awfully painful! A few questions to answer: How do you pay your accountant? Your business office? Your phone bills? Your supplier bills? Furniture monthly fees? The list is longer, but you already know it! So: How does it sound to you, “Make Money Without Money”? Does it sound good? Well, I bet it does! At least it brings you the breeze of HOPE!! Right?

3. You are a seasoned business owner. Well, how much did it cost you the latest product idea? Did I hit you hard? I guess so! Well, since you are experienced, you planned well all the expenses but... How bad will that do to your wallet, to be able to pick some fresh new ideas from here, FOR FREE? I guess it will ruin you? Will it? Mmmmm? ;)
